Ooni Koda 2 Pro Gas Pizza Oven
What we liked: Twin side burners, listed at 33,000 BTU/hr, drive a 0.8 in cordierite floor to 950 °F; a 30 minute warm up costs it. Stainless legs and inner base, a die-cast aluminum nose and a borosilicate visor wrap a powder-coated steel shell that can live outdoors.
What we didn't like: Spark ignition and a probe in the box help, yet 66 lb and a half hour to ready make every session a planned event.
Gozney Roccbox Pizza Oven
What we liked: A stainless body under a grippy silicone jacket, legs that fold flat and no assembly at all make it feel like commercial kit shrunk down. Dense two-layer insulation and a low dome hold the floor near 950°F between bakes, though the single rolling flame still demands regular turning.
What we didn't like: The 3.5 inch mouth leaves little room to launch and spin a pie, and 44 lb is heavy work for a carry-anywhere oven.

Is Gozney better than Ooni?
Not overall. The two brands score within a tenth of a point of each other. Gozney scores higher on reliability, a middle 8.1 against 7.7. Ooni's painted steel shells want a cover outdoors, and the Volt 2 carries electronics. In Ooni's favour, the Koda 2 and Koda 16 fold flat for travel.
Which is cheaper, Ooni or Gozney?
Neither by much. The cheapest Ooni we found was $448.95 and the cheapest Gozney $399. At the top, the dearest Gozney we tested was $998.99 and the dearest Ooni $849.
Does Gozney make a wood fired or electric pizza oven?

Do Ooni and Gozney have the same warranty?
Very nearly. Both give one year, or five years if you register within 60 days. Ooni's Volt 2 electric oven gets three years when registered. Ooni's Koda 2 page says the five year term is "only on ooni.com", but its warranty terms set no condition on where you bought it. Buying direct removes the doubt.
