Weber has built the Spirit in more than one body, and the covers follow the bodies. Part 7138 started out as the two-burner cover. Weber’s own 2021 page called it the Spirit 200 series cover, priced at $64.99. Today the same part number also dresses the 2025 three-burner.
That leaves a trap with a simple shape. A three-burner Spirit built from 2016 to 2024 does not take this cover. It takes the 7139. So the real question is whether your own grill tells you this part is yours.
Weber names both Spirits we have reviewed. The Spirit II E-210 sits in its 2016 to 2024 line. The Spirit E-325 sits in its 2025 line.
First Impressions of the Weber Premium Grill Cover for Spirit
The box is small for what comes out of it. A carton of 10.063 by 4.024 by 7.298 inches holds the whole thing. Inside sits a folded black polyester shell with a white Weber badge high on the front.
Unfolded, it reads as a Spirit shape rather than a sack. Seams trace the lid’s shoulders and drop straight down the cart. Weber’s figures put it at 42 inches tall and 48 across the long side.
The hardware is minimal. Each side carries one short hook and loop strap, sewn partway down the side panel. In Weber’s own photographs it wraps a cart leg and closes on itself. There is no drawstring at the hem, no buckle and no handle.
On the Spirit in Weber’s rooftop photograph, the hem stops above the casters. That is the normal look for this kind of cover. It drapes the grill and leaves the wheels in the open air.
Key Features of the Weber Premium Grill Cover for Spirit
The feature list is short. What makes this cover worth buying is its size and the fit list behind it.
- A fit list written by year. Weber names two and three burner Spirits from 2025 on. It adds two-burner Spirit and Spirit II grills from 2016 to 2024.
- Polyester shell. The maker gives the fiber and one claim, water resistance. Past that, the cloth goes undescribed.
- UV inhibitors, on Amazon’s word. The listing says the fabric resists fading. Weber’s own page does not repeat it.
- Breathable, also on Amazon’s word. The listing calls the fabric breathable. No vent is sewn in.
- Two straps, one per side. Weber says they stop the cover blowing away.
- Spot clean only. No machine wash, no hose instructions.
- One color. Spirit owners get black, whichever store they order from.
The Amazon page also flags it under California’s Proposition 65. The text we captured names no chemical.
Fit and coverage
The fit list is the real product here, and it is drawn by build year. In 2021, Weber’s page named the Spirit II 200 series and Spirit 200 series. Today it names two-burner grills from 2016 to 2024, then two or three burners from 2025. The 2025 redesign is what pulled the three-burner in.
The figures line up closely with both named grills. Take the E-325 first: 46.20 inches tall, 48.30 wide and 26.60 deep, lid shut. At 42 inches, the cover ends 4.20 inches short of that height.
The E-210 stands 44.5 tall, 48 wide and 27 deep. Against it, the height gap shrinks to 2.5 inches.
Two small knots remain. Amazon’s title promises a fit up to 48 inches wide, yet the E-325 is 48.30 wide. Weber still names that grill and sells this cover on its page.
Weber also calls the 48 inches depth and the 27 width. On a Spirit, that reads swapped.
Older grills are murkier. Amazon’s comparison chart still says “Spirit 200 series (closed cart).” Weber’s current page starts at 2016. If your Spirit predates that, Weber no longer vouches for it.
Weather protection and durability
Weber’s case for the fabric is one word: water resistant. It does not name a coating. It prints no rating and makes no waterproof claim. A whole winter outdoors deserves more than one adjective.
The two stronger claims come from Amazon’s copy. The listing says UV inhibitors in the fabric resist fading, and calls the fabric breathable. Neither appears on Weber’s own cover page.
And breathable is not a vent. With no flap sewn in, damp air leaves through the cloth or the open hem.
On lasting power, the paperwork goes nearly silent. Neither Weber nor Amazon prints a denier, and care is spot clean only. A 3 year limited warranty turns up in Amazon’s product details. Weber’s cover page links a general warranty page and prints no term.
None of that means the cover fails. It means a buyer has the maker’s name, a retailer’s warranty field, and little else.
Handling, upkeep and value
Weber calls the cover lightweight and easy to pull on and off. The shape helps. The badge marks the front, so it goes on the right way first time.
Two straps do all the holding, and they ask little of you. Loop each one round a cart leg and press it shut. Weber shows no handle, so grip the top seam to lift it. Let the lid cool before you do.
Spot clean the shell where it hangs. Shake off leaves and pollen before folding it away.
Value is the cover’s quiet strength. Weber charges $79.99, and Amazon had it at around $74.99 on October 19, 2026. Weber’s own 7139, for the bigger Spirits, costs $89.99.
Among covers made by a grill’s own maker, this sits at the cheap end. It still comes sized for one family.
Possible Weber Premium Grill Cover for Spirit Complaints
- The size picker reads like a promise it does not keep. Amazon labels this choice for the 200 and 300 Series, two and three burners. An owner of a 2016 to 2024 three-burner could order it and be wrong. The fix is the grill’s build year, read before checkout.
- The fabric goes undocumented. What the cloth is made to resist, and how thick it is, goes unstated. The UV and breathable claims live only in Amazon copy. You buy on Weber’s name, not on a spec.
